MultibrÁs
Creativity and innovation:
keywords in the C.E.S.A.R/Pitang partnership

Multibrás is the owner of two of the most well-known appliance brands in Brazil : Consul and Brastemp, probably the most consolidated in the market. In June 2003, C.E.S.A.R brought together its team in order to develop a portal for Consul, a dynamic site designed to promote interactivity and encourage user loyalty. With resources such as a virtual store, customer attendance and a newsletter service, the page generates a strong market return and has been instrumental in improving the relationship between the company and its customers.

The web portal was developed using UML (Unified Modeling Language) and the Rational Rose tool, with a Websphere application server and IBM DB2 database.

After the success of the initial project, Multibras asked C.E.S.A.R to develop an even more challenging product, one which would demand innovative technologies and lots of creativity from the team. The Brastemp site was to become a direct channel between the manufacturer and its consumers, who would be able to buy through the Internet via Brastemp You , a differentiated e-commerce solution.

The tool created by C.E.S.A.R allows customers to personalize and buy their appliances on the web, choosing and combining elements such as color, capacity and other features. After the order is made, the buyer can accompany the actual production process and even personalize the user manual that will arrive at their home.

To develop Brastemp You , C.E.S.A.R used some of its best expertise with Java, DB2 database, Oracle SQLServer and Websphere server. The project took six months to be concluded (from April to October 2004) and involved a team of 11 professionals.
